Derya Sabuncuoglu, founder of Design Theory Studio (DTS), is an Australian designer and entrepreneur with a long-standing passion for creativity and design. Fast forward to 2014 with a children’s décor business, later expanding into furniture and interiors. Alongside formal studies, she became a qualified interior designer, blending her natural eye for beauty with technical expertise.

In 2018, Derya co-founded Estilo Studio with one of her closest friends, growing it into a successful design business over four years before selling the brand. With this experience behind her, she has now embarked on her solo venture — Design Theory Studio — a true expression of her creative vision and dream brand. Guided by an unwavering love for design, Derya approaches each project with a philosophy of exceeding expectations — uncovering what clients truly desire and delivering beyond what they imagined.

Her work spans bespoke furniture, interiors, and complete transformations that combine elegance, function, and individuality. With every collection and design, Design Theory Studio reflects Derya’s dedication to quality, artistry, and the joy of creating spaces that inspire and endure.
